The 2001 Mouton Rothschild Label
An american artist got to create the label for the 2001 vintage Mouton Rothschild Bordeaux. This is the 80th year of the tradition for mouton of having a label painted annually. The artist captures the heir to the Tothschild empire, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, who has been acting president since her father passed away. The artist series labels became popular in 1945 when her father had an artist develop the label with a ‘V’ for victory.
