What To Pair With Beef Stew
I am a fan of a good home cooked hearty beef stew around winter time. This article from the Chronicle dicusses what to pair with this meal. I wouldn’t suggest anything to mellow, like a Pinot Noir or a Petite Syrah, but a nice Southern Rhone style blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah would be perfect. Some California Syrah’s have the body and elegence to pair nicely as well. Of Course, you can never go wrong with a nice Cabernet.
