Worlds Largest Wine Bottle
Raise a glass - 1,200 of them to be exact - to New Jersey, new home to the world’s largest bottle of wine.
A business in Tenafly, in northern New Jersey, paid $55,812 ($66,279 Cdn) for a 1.35-metre-tall bottle of cabernet sold Saturday at Sotheby’s, said auction house spokeswoman Kristin Gelder.
The nice thing is, it’s all Private Reserve wine!

Your article is incorrect.I have the Guinness World Record.My name is Kim Bullock and i own the North Road Liquor Store in Albany West Australia.The bottle christened the ALBANY is 290 litres was designed to showcase the wines of the GREAT SOUTHERN region where I live.The buyer of the MAXIMUS is also the buyer of my bottle.Robert Kapito of Black Rock ( INC) NY.THe bottle will be delivered to him inMay/June 2007. Thanks for the update, as I’m guessing at the time, the bottle written about in my article was the largest.
Congrats on the new record! I’m guessing like all world records, yours will be broken soon, but enjoy it while it lasts!
