Knights Valley Winery Proposed by Jess Jackson
In a proposal that is turning into a battle over land rights, Jess Jackson, of Kendall Jackson Fame, aims to build a 8,600 Sq’ Winery and tasting room on land he owns in Knights Valley just off of Highway 128 outside of Calistoga. The area[Google Maps] is already home to two Wineries, Peter Michael Winery, and Hafner Vineyard, as well as many growers that sell their grapes to Wineries that make Knights Valley Appellation Wine. The concern is traffic, wildlife impact, and historical landmarks in the area. A man with Jackson’s money and influence will probably prevail, but at least we know the work will be done right, ensuring the integrity of the area.
