Wine Expression Announces Writing Contest
Celebrating 2 years is nice. My site may not be as built up as some others, but I have some loyal readers, and that makes me happy. Anyway, I’m feeling saucy today. In an effort to turn new people on to new wineries, or ones they may not have heard about, Wine Expression will be hosting a writing contest. In 100 words or less, email me (winexpression_at_gmail_.com (change at to @ and take out the underslashes.) an original piece detailing your favorite winery. Please make sure that the wine is somewhat available for purchase at least by signing up on a mailing list, or that the winery can accept visitors. The winner will receive one of my favorite bottles of wine from The Linne Calodo Winery in Paso Robles (You won’t be dissappointed). The winning entry will be published on this website. Only open to U.S. residents age 21 and up. Please include your email address and shipping info so I know where to send the bottle. One entry per person. Contest Deadline is August 31, 2005. Blah blah blah, I hope that’s enough to cover myself. I will post the winner as soon as all the entry’s have been reviewed.
This is a pretty easy way to win a free bottle of exceptional wine, so step up to the plate people!
About the wine: The winner will have 3 different blends to choose from. I have written about Linne Calodo before, although not extensively, and Parker is kind with his ratings for this winery. Katie and I will be heading down in October, so I’ll do a more extensive write up then.
About the photo: Herb Lamb Vineyards is one of my favorite destinations in Napa. Jennifer and Herb are probably the nicest people in the valley, and their wine is arguably the best. If you haven’t signed up on their mailing list, do it now, it won’t be a mistake. I’m not offering a bottle of anything from them for the contest because I’m not willing to share any of their wine. Period.

That’s it! Thanks for another good year. Stay tuned for a redesigned website and another project that will be sure to turn some heads.
Cheers,
Jathan
