Wireless Wine Management
It’s funny, I was talking to my wife about a week ago about this idea I had…. How about a wine scanner that uses wireless technology to automatically download your wine collection into a program on your computer? Just grab the Bluetooth enabled device, head over to your Wine cellar, scan the barcode on each bottle, and the information is automatically added to your inventory. Brilliant I thought, and so did the IntelliScanner Corporation, as they just released it in the form of the IntelliScanner Wine Collector. Nice to know I was on the right track, I’m sure they had me beat by a few weeks though. ;o) The software looks nice and runs on Windows XP or Mac OSX, the scanner looks easy to use, and it’s all wrapped up and shipped to your door in none other than a wooden Wine crate. The Bluetooth bundle retails for $299, or you can get the USB model for $199, but we all know wireless is better. Man these guys are good.
