Welcome to the new home of Winexpression!
In August of 2003, I decided this new medium of blogging would be great for information on Wine and that I’d devote a couple hours a week to this little ‘hobby’. 2 1/2 years later, almost 500 posts, and 125 average page views a day, this hobby has grown up, and I’ve decided to upgrade the site. Welcome to it!
I hope that the content and readership will continue to grow as I devote my time and energy into making this site better. Please bear with me while I update all my links and work out the bugs here. Feel free to comment on the look and feel, I’m always open to suggestions. If you link here, please update them; I’d really appreciate it.
As always, I want this site to be informative and solely devoted to wine. It’s an amazing beverage, and I don’t think I’ll ever stop learning about it.
Cheers,
Jathan

New site looks awesome, Jathan.
I’ve been pondering a move to WordPress myself.

Merci Wilfried!
Thanks Lenn!
Wordpress is a whole new world over blogger, but the learning curve doesn’t seem to steep. I’ll be tweaking everything for a while.
The support of you fellow wine bloggers is awesome. I feel like we’re related or something, it’s kind of weird…

Good looking site, Jathan. I’m just about done with blogger thing. Probably get something new going later in the year.

Bradley,
Thanks for the compliment. Blogger’s a nice start, but wordpress has many features that put it far ahead of the free sites. I highly recommend it, the code and pages are light, validate, and it’s fairly easy to use.

Nicely done. Funny, I was just talking to someone today about perhaps pulling my blogspot musings onto my own server. Best way to go I think.
One suggestion: I clicked on the “WineExpression” logo (which is very nicely done as well) and it doesn’t appear to have a hyperlink associated. (I’m such a geek.)

Yeah, I have to change that. I’m using CSS to handle my background image, but to hyperlink, I’m going to have to update my header.php file.
Still working out the kinks, but feedback like this is helpful. Thanks Chas. (You are a geek.)
