… well done roundup! Read today’s NY Times article “Decanting Robert Parker” by Eric Asimov. Parker praises Southern Rhones, loves that they are not oaked and appreciates the purity of their fruit! I could not agree more! Hopefully he means it.

Thanks Jathan, for your enthusiastic, hard work and thorough insight as host. I had a way good time! Besides the vino and munch– the search for information about the Rhone and Cote-Rotie fleshed out the experience nicely. Looking forward to the next WBW, and the next…, and ….

I guess I don't know what it takes to be included in the roundup. I posted a comment with a teaser and link to my WBW 19 contribution and I sent an email asking to be included (albeit a couple days late) in the roundup. Anyway, I got together with a few friends and we tasted three Rhone style wines (all Frech Rhone wines) and I posted a summary to my blog. Maybe next month I can figure out how to actually be listed in the roundup....

All these entries above give me a lot of “food” with my wine today – very interesting, to see comments on blend wines, which are our every-day-bread in the South of France, up to a point that we often forget, that they are less known elsewhere!
