About Jathan: After tasting the 1995 Beringer Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, I immediately succumbed to learning more about wine. Ever since then, I have enjoyed tasting and learning more about it, and this blog has been a great way for me to do that since August 2003.

I also enjoy working with Video, and have taken Cinematography classes in school. My wife and I enjoy trips to the wine country, cooking, hiking, biking, photography, tennis, and the cinema. I have been designing websites since 2000 and am proficient with html, CSS, MySQL and PHP.
